About the Producer

Nova Coffee is a women-centered washing station in Bukure, Northern Rwanda, founded by Agnes Mukamushinja and her husband, Felix Hitayezu. Working with smallholder farmers and local cooperatives including Dukorere Kawa, Nova combines a deep connection to the region with a focus on quality, community livelihoods, and creating greater opportunities for women in coffee.

About the Variety

Red Bourbon has long been at the heart of Rwanda’s specialty coffee tradition, thriving in the country’s high elevations and rich volcanic soils. At Nova, that tradition is paired with a willingness to experiment with processing. For this lot, anaerobic fermentation followed by washed processing adds layers of fruit and complexity while preserving the clarity and structure we love in high-grown Rwandan coffee.
